Mateo's Magic Bus and its home, KFFR 88.3-FM, were out in force in this year's Blues From The Top in Winter Park, CO and what an incredible weekend of blues and music it was! It all started with our exclusive interview on The Bus with Albert Castiglia where we covered Albert’s rich history and his new album with Mike Zito, Blood Brothers, which was featured on Sunday at Blues from the Top.

For our Bus Riders not familiar with Albert, AllMusic notes that "Castiglia combines hardcore blues with soul, rock, and country flavors for a sound that will appeal to rockers and blues purists alike." His vocal style has been compared to that of Van Morrison.
Gulf Coast Records released Blood Brothers a few months back, which was one of the most-anticipated albums of the year, featuring multi-Blues Music Award-winners Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia. The duo concluded a highly-successful string of “Blood Brothers” shows in the spring/summer of 2022 with new tour dates running through the summer, culminating with a special appearance Blues From The Top. Blood Brothers was produced by Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith.
In addition to Mike and Albert's Blood Brothers, the lineup this year was incredible, from Grace Potter to Galactic and Anjelika Jelly, Shemekia Copeland, the Drive By Truckers, Cedric Burnside and so many more.
We had an army of DJs from KFFR broadcasting from our booth at Blues From The Top where we were right next to the youth stage which featured up and coming blues bands from Colorado. We were all blown away by these great young bands!
