Broadcast high in the Rockies each week from 2PM - 4PM MT on KFFR 88.3-FM and KFFR.org, Mateo’s Magic Bus takes listeners on a journey around the world, exploring the roots of jazz and blues alongside music from today and the past decades that has been influenced by these incredible art forms.
On this week's ride, DJ Mateo comes out fast with a Dave Brubeck Quartet Live Classic, Pennies from Heaven off their 1963 Carnegie Hall Live Album, one of the most swinging performances of all time. The Bus then heads way south to Brazil for some great new and old Bossa Nova with Astrud Gilberto and Chris Botti.
We then dive deep into two Pat Metheny Group tunes from the 90s and then sprinkle in some Joe Henderson, Phil Woods, new Monophonics, The Smile and Julian Lage + a cooking tune from Artemis' latest effort - and much more!
