Broadcast high in the Rockies each week from 2PM - 4PM MT on KFFR 88.3-FM and KFFR.org, Mateo’s Magic Bus takes listeners on a journey around the world, exploring the roots of jazz and blues alongside music from today and the past decades that has been influenced by these incredible art forms.
This week is overflowing with blues, soul and funk leading off with the late great Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, new Teskey Brothers from Down Under, new GA-20 from Colemine Live in Loveland, OH.
We then head far south to celebrate the Waters of March with Antonio Carlos Jobim and then a great tribute to Hugh Masekela celebrating his birthday this week.
Lots of Afro Cuban jazz and we finish up with Curtis Stigers and Julie London crooning their magic and the finale from Bossacucanova doing their remake of Jobim's Águas de Março / Waters of March.
