On this week's ride, your driver and guide DJ Mateo realized there was so much great new music in 2022, that a second My Favorite Things 2022 was necessary!
The list is long and amazing: Leading off the show with Edgar Winter's tribute to his brother Johnny, playing a tune he wrote and performed with Billy Gibbons and Derek Trucks. On to two new albums from Neil Young and Crazy Horse, to new Ezra Collective, Bonnie Raitt, Erik Deutsch (who we hosted on The Bus earlier in the year) Pimps of Joytime, Sure Fire Soul Ensemble, The National, Lord Huron, Ashley Henry, Alex Isley and so much more. My gosh, two packed Best of 2022 shows and I still had to leave some great stuff out.
Good news is that there is already a ton of great blues, jazz, rock, soul and funk out early in 2023 and we'll be featuring that in the next show. In the meantime, 2022 was an INCREDIBLE year in music and we celebrate it all on this show!
